Marquisha Lemaire kitchen, August 21st , 2017. From wood, we move on to the more brilliant world of glass. Glass shelves in the pantry are a rarity since most of us tend to use this storage space in a ‘not so delicate’ fashion. But sliding glass doors for the pantry are far more common. You can use various styles of glass doors to alter the style of the pantry from industrial to modern and Asian to Mediterranean! For most homeowners, it is the frosted glass doors that offer the best solution as they bring natural light into the pantry even while hiding the mess inside… A nifty choice that offers best of both worlds!
Harrietta Hubert kitchen, August 21st , 2017. New company Plykea launched a series of birch ply doors and worktops that can be attached to IKEA’s ‘Metod’ kitchen cupboards. Digital product designer Tim Diacon wanted a speedy way in which to create a handsome kitchen on a finite budget. Already possessing an IKEA kitchen, Tim searched for a company that could make a set of birch ply fronts. Unsuccessful in his quest, Tim turned to his friend Adam Vergette for help—Adam is a furniture designer and a one-time production worker with Vitsœ. The two men hatched a plan to create an online service that would provide reasonably priced bespoke plywood doors, drawer fronts, worktops and cover panels for IKEA kitchen cabinets: and so Plykea was born.

Harrietta Hubert kitchen, August 21st , 2017. Planning for the perfect kitchen is an exercise that often involves maximizing space without compromising on form. It is a delicate balance between the two that really brings to life your dream kitchen. A pantry plays a huge role in it all. Whether you cook ever so rarely or love to regularly serve up sumptuous meals for your family and friends, there is always a pantry out there that perfectly serves your needs. And unsurprisingly, it is often shelf space, lighting, storage room and placement of the pantry that we tend to focus on. But even the most space-savvy pantries need to be aesthetic as well!
Natalii Carpentier bedroom, August 21st , 2017. Not a fan of the walk-in closet? Maybe you just do not have the space or the budgets to spare for one. There are plenty of other alternatives, and ingenious designers are constantly coming up with custom units that can fit into the smallest of bedrooms. These standalone pieces open up and expand to offer ample storage space when neede, and they can fold away to occupy minimal foot space. If even this seems like an extravagance, then there is always the option of a traditional closet that makes the most of the vertical room on offer.

Fayette Fleury kitchen, August 21st , 2017. There is no doubt that this kitchen is stunning, and the mix of modern and traditional is so seamless! The center cooking area looks like it belongs in a professional chef’s kitchen, and the stove blends right in with the cabinets. The result: the island stands as a whole, like a kitchen within a kitchen. Even the cabinet pulls match the handles on the oven – it’s brilliant.

Marquisha Lemaire kitchen, August 21st , 2017. Another example of great use of lower cabinets in a traditional kitchen. Here, there is much less stainless steel, but it works so well with the cool colors throughout the kitchen, like the backsplash and the glass on the doors. The grey on the island also pulls the silvery hues together very nicely!
Francoise Deschamps kitchen, August 21st , 2017. There is nothing quite like enjoying a lovely view outside the window as you relax indoors and catch up on your favorite reading material while sipping on a beverage of your choice. With summer here, the idea of a fabulous window seat that overlooks the scenic landscape outside or connects the interior with the small rear garden or poolscape is even more tantalizing. Window seats combine the comfort of indoor seating with aesthetics of the outdoors; acting as a bridge between both the realms. They are pretty easy to install and in modern homes where large glass windows are increasingly becoming common, window seats make plenty of sense.
